Baylor Swim Club Partners with Make A Splash Program

COLORADO, SPRINGS, CO- Head Coach/ Aquatics Director Dan Flack and Swim School Director Brian Gill are pleased to announce that the Baylor Swim Club has partnered with the USA Swimming Foundations' Make A Splash Program. Beginning in the fall of 2010, the Baylor Swim Club will be providing scholarships to those that cannot afford to pay for swimming lessons as part of the Make A Splash Local Partner program. The Baylor Swim Club is currently just one of three organizations associated with the program in the state of Tennesee.

"The Bayor Swim Club is delighted to partner with the United States Swimming Foundation in this program. Make a Splash is just another opportunity to promote the benefits of the sport of swimming and water safety to a wider group of people in the greater Tennesssee Valley area," said Head Coach Dan Flack.

See below for complete information about the program.

What Is Make a Splash?

Make a Splash is a national child-focused water safety initiative created by the USA Swimming Foundation.

It works by aligning the nation’s top learn-to-swim resources in an effort to save lives. Make a Splash educates parents through a national awareness campaign, saves lives by joining forces with grassroots learn-to-swim programs and reaches thousands of children through wide-reaching in-school materials.

The Local Partner Program

The Local Partner program provides the opportunity to make a difference in the community using the power of Make a Splash.  The Make a Splash campaign will help locally to:

  • Expand awareness about the importance of water safety and the need to learn to swim
  • Make learn-to-swim program services become more visible in your community.
