Coming off a recent national high school championship and exceptional performances in national swimming competitions, Baylor School and Baylor Swim Club Head Coach Dan Flack and Assistant coach Tom Smith have been invited by United States Swimming to attend an elite swim club summit at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs this weekend. The Baylor coaches were invited as a result of the Baylor Swim Club being recognized as one of the top twenty five swim clubs in the United States for the 2008 – 2009 season.
This is a great opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the top minds in our sport, said Baylor Head Coach Dan Flack. Our staff is excited to be selected for this opportunity at the OTC. |

What is really exciting is there are many top coaches that want to know exactly how we train the student – athletes here at Baylor and what has caused us to rise so quickly in the ranks in the country. Our playbook is a little different than many traditional models, and we are eager to share our ideas on training in our sport. Hopefully, we will learn some things, be challenged on some topics, and return with an enhanced view of the many different ways to promote great performances in the sport of swimming. |
