Good luck to all those Baylor Swim Club athletes representing their respective summer league teams, and competing in the CASL Swimming Championships this Friday and Saturday (July 16-17, 2010) at Fort Oglethorpe Recreation Center. This meet is one of the most important weekend's for the Baylor Swim Club in attracting athletes to our club for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. Please feel free to bring your friends to the Baylor Swim Club tent, and encourage those to come to the tent who are interested in joining our team. Coach Brian, Coach Pitman, and Coach Roop will be at the meet all weekend long, and we are looking forward to watching all the Baylor Swim Club athletes compete this weekend.
The Baylor coaching staff would like to remind our membership of the importance of Summer League swimming to the growth and enhancement of our program. Every Baylor Swim Club member who participates, officiates, coaches or attends the CASL City meet has a great opportunity to spread the word about the benefits of Baylor Swim Club and year round swimming. Our coaches will make the rounds at many meets, but we can't be everywhere. These Monday and Thursday night meets are a great way for all members get involved in building our program.
So have a blast this weekend! Be a good sport, make to new friends, and spread the word about the Baylor program, the greater Chattanooga area program on the move!
Good Luck And Have Fun!
The Baylor Swimming Coaching Staff

Baylor Ranks In Top 25 for USA Swimming Club Excellence Program for the 2009 Season
What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction as being the 25th nationally ranked swim club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program for the 2009 swimming season! This is the fifth year that the Baylor Swim Club has received the Silver Medal distinction. What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance.
To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.
Baylor Swim Club had a great performance scoring 17,778 points, ranking second in Southeastern Swimming, and ranking Baylor in the top 25 nationally for the second year in a row. Baylor is the smallest club based on membership to rank in the top 40 among the over 1000 clubs that participated.
Parents, I just want to review some billing items with you. If you have children in the AG, Junior, Senior or MS/HS Prep group you will receive your monthly statement via mail about the fifteenth of each month. This statement is for the following month. For example the bill you receive in September is for the October fees. All statements should be paid by the last day of each month. Any accounts that are not paid by the last day of the month will accrue a $5 late fee. You can return your payment in the mail or you may bring a check to the office. If I am not in the office feel free to leave it on my computer monitor stand.
All families participating in the developmental program will need to register their child for each session of developmental by the first day of the session. As long as you are registered before the first day of the session you will be ready to participate in that session. Once you have registered the first time you will no longer be charged the USA and Club registration fees. Those fees are only charged at the beginning of each new swim year. I will send out an email during the last week of the current session reminding you of the upcoming session registration. If you are currently enrolled in the session and want to continue in the next session simply bring your payment into the office by the first day of the next session.
We will not allow children to practice until they are registered.
If you are planning on taking a break and your child is in AG, Junior, Senior or MS/HS prep remember in order not to be billed for the next month I need to have written notification at least 30 days in advance. So for example, if you know you are not going to swim in December I must receive an email from you stating that no later than Nov.1.If the written statement is not received by that date you will be charged. Please understand that telling the coach does not count as proper notification.
If you have any further questions please email Laura Pitman
