Baylor Swimmers RISE UP at the 2010 CASL City Meet
CHATTANOOGA, TN- Congratulations to all swimmers that competed in the 2010 CASL Swimming Championship meet held at Fort Oglethorpe Recreation Center on Friday and Saturday, July 16th and 17th. All Baylor Swim Club members that competed did an outstanding job and represented Baylor Swimming well. Please continue to talk up the Baylor Swim Club program, and we look forward to seeing some new faces this fall. You can find out more information about our year round competitive swimming program by visiting our JOIN BAYLOR SWIM CLUB PAGE.
The coaching staff just wanted to wish our swimming instructor, Whitney Rogers the best of luck in her new endeavors. Whitney has served the Baylor Swim Club the last two years as an outstanding swimming lessons instructor, and was vital to the growth of our program. She will be moving to Huntsville, AL to study with the Amy Core of Engineers. Thanks You and good luck Whitney. She just wanted to pass the following along to the membership.
I am sad to say goodbye to my fellow coaches, parents, and children. I have chosen a new path, which sadly is causing me to leave the Chattanooga area. Fortunately I have been offered an intern position at the Army Corp of Engineers, however, I have to relocate to the Huntsville area. Even though I will be a busy college student and intern, I still anticipate to keep working with children in the pool. I am currently speaking with the head coach at Hunstville Swimming Association for a position there this fall. I am sad to get out of one pool, but excited to jump into the next. The experience I have had at Baylor has been one I will take with me for the rest of my profession. I wish all of my kids & co-coaches best of luck throughout their swimming career.
Parents: If you ever have any question about your child’s swim skill or just want to tell me their progress (which I would love to hear) please feel free to email me at my new address whitneylearogers@gmail.com

Baylor Ranks In Top 25 for USA Swimming Club Excellence Program for the 2009 Season
What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction as being the 25th nationally ranked swim club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program for the 2009 swimming season! This is the fifth year that the Baylor Swim Club has received the Silver Medal distinction. What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance.
To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.
Baylor Swim Club had a great performance scoring 17,778 points, ranking second in Southeastern Swimming, and ranking Baylor in the top 25 nationally for the second year in a row. Baylor is the smallest club based on membership to rank in the top 40 among the over 1000 clubs that participated.
Parents, I just want to review some billing items with you. If you have children in the AG, Junior, Senior or MS/HS Prep group you will receive your monthly statement via mail about the fifteenth of each month. This statement is for the following month. For example the bill you receive in September is for the October fees. All statements should be paid by the last day of each month. Any accounts that are not paid by the last day of the month will accrue a $5 late fee. You can return your payment in the mail or you may bring a check to the office. If I am not in the office feel free to leave it on my computer monitor stand.
All families participating in the developmental program will need to register their child for each session of developmental by the first day of the session. As long as you are registered before the first day of the session you will be ready to participate in that session. Once you have registered the first time you will no longer be charged the USA and Club registration fees. Those fees are only charged at the beginning of each new swim year. I will send out an email during the last week of the current session reminding you of the upcoming session registration. If you are currently enrolled in the session and want to continue in the next session simply bring your payment into the office by the first day of the next session.
We will not allow children to practice until they are registered.
If you are planning on taking a break and your child is in AG, Junior, Senior or MS/HS prep remember in order not to be billed for the next month I need to have written notification at least 30 days in advance. So for example, if you know you are not going to swim in December I must receive an email from you stating that no later than Nov.1.If the written statement is not received by that date you will be charged. Please understand that telling the coach does not count as proper notification.
If you have any further questions please email Laura Pitman
