Site Director at the Hamilton YMCA / Junior Group Coach
A native Floridian, Corinne grew up in the sport of swimming. As a young athlete, she competed in her local summer league, eventually swimming with a local USA club swim team. After High School, she then went one on to compete at the colligate level at Texas A&M University where she earned honorable mention for the Collegiate Swimming Coaches of America Association Scholar All-American Team.
Corinne began coaching as a volunteer assistant for a local summer league team at the age of 13. This was when she started to realize her passion for working with young swimmers. She continued to volunteer with the same summer league throughout high school, stopping once she reached college.
After her swimming career came to an end, Corinne decided to take up coaching at the club level. Corinne’s first club coaching job was with Aggie Swim Club in College Station, Texas, where she was an Assistant Coach with the Senior Group for two years. There, she helped coach several swimmers to All-American status as well as coaching others to compete at the state and national level.
Before moving to Chattanooga, Coach Corinne was the Head Coach of the Country Club of Mobile Swim Team where she worked with children of all ages and ability levels. There, she helped the swimmers improve drastically and develop a greater interest in the sport. During this time, she was also an Age Group coach with City of Mobile Swim Association where she worked primarily with their Junior group, as well as their developmental age group programs. While at CMSA, Corinne helped develop their most elite age group swimmers and prepare them for the next level of competition. The highlight of Corinne’s run with CMSA was coaching the 11-12 girls to a Southeastern Swimming Championship title.
Coach Corinne just completed her first short course season and looks forward to continuing to work with Baylor to help our swimmers grow in the sport and achieve their goals.
