Erin Sawyer

Assistant Coach

Erin Sawyer comes to us from Middle Tennessee Swim Club (MTSC) in Murfreesboro, TN. She has over tweleve years of coaching experience, and has worked with athletes of all ages and ability levels.  She is returning to the Baylor Swim Club after coaching from 2016-2018.

She started out swimming at seven years of age with Middle Tennessee Swim Club and continued to swim through high school helping the team go to state all four years. Through high school she taught lessons and coached local summer leagues at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center in Lebanon, TN. In college she continued to teach lessons and coach at the YMCA in Cookeville as well as assisting the MTSC satellite team. After transferring to MTSU, she continued as the assistant coach with the age group program for MTSC at the Lebanon location. She also taught swimming lessons in Lebanon, and grew her swimming lessons business of 100+ students in the 8 years as a private instructor.

After coaching for MTSC for five years, she moved to Chattanooga where she teaches lessons and coaches the Masters team at the Downtown YMCA. Her twin sister, Kaitlin Sawyer coached and taught swimming lessons with the Baylor Swim Club from 2011-2013.  Erin is currently the Aquatics Director at the Downtown Chattanooga YMCA.
