A native Chattanooga, Mikaya Reynolds grew up in the sport of swimming. As a young athlete, she competed in her local summer league, the Stuart Heights Sharks. She is an alumna of the Baylor School and a former NISCA High School All-American. During her time at Baylor, from 2006 – 2013, her team was undefeated in all 48 dual meets. Her team was also TISCA State Champions all four years and were two-time National Champions. After High School, she then went on to compete at the collegiate level at Marshall University.
Reynolds began coaching as an assistant head coach for the Stuart Heights Sharks when she was eighteen. That summer, she was the Jennifer Fugate award winner, recognizing a swimmers commitment to the sport, leadership, and team spirit. She continued to coach the Sharks for the next five summers.
Mikaya is currently an Account Executive for Konica Minolta, and continues to show her team spirit for the sharks through volunteering and attending meets.
