CHATTANOOGA, TN- On Friday, September 29th Baylor School swimming alum, Arden (Pitman) Meek ’11 was inducted into the 2023 Baylor School Sports Hall of Fame. This event was celebrated during an all-school assembly held on the annual Baylor School alumni weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1).
Below are Arden’s contributions to the program and individual awards:
- Team Captain 2010-2011
- 21 time All-American team (tied for the most individual female All Americans in Baylor History)
- Member of USA swimming Jr. National Team
- 2008 and 2012 Olympic Trial qualifier
- USA swimming National qualifier
- Multi time USA swimming Jr. National finalist
- USA swimming national rankings: 2nd 200 Backstroke and 10th 100 backstroke
- Coach’s Award
- 2011 Baylor Senior Female Athlete of the Year
- 2011 Baylor Swimming swimmer of the year
- 12 time state champion (individual events and relays)
- 2009 Eastern Scholastic Champion
- 2008 USA Jr National Champion
- Multi time Southeastern Swimming champion both Short Course and Long Course
- 7 time school Record holder
- 5 time State Record holder for relays
- 6 time National record holder for relays
- 3 time Individual National record holder for short course meters
- 15-16 girls Southeastern Record holder in 200 backstroke
