CHATTANOOGA, TN- On Friday, September 29th Baylor School swimming alum, Arden (Pitman) Meek ’11 was inducted into the 2023 Baylor School Sports Hall of Fame. This event was celebrated during an all-school assembly held on the annual Baylor School alumni weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1).
Arden joins a group of fellow Baylor Swimming Alumni who have also been inducted into the Baylor School Sports Hall of Fame – Sloan Pitman ’09, Wendy (Oakes) Wilhelm ’90, Will Hunt ’89, Bobby Laugherty ’82, and Geoff Gaberino ’80. In this list is also Coach Jim Stover who founded Baylor Swim Club in 1977 and coached Baylor’s most well-known swimmer, Geoff Gaberino ’80, who was world-ranked while at Baylor and won a Gold Medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles as part of the U.S. 800-meter freestyle relay team.

- 2008 and 2012 Olympic Trial qualifier

- USA swimming national rankings: 2nd 200 Backstroke and 10th 100 backstroke
- Coach’s Award
- 2011 Baylor Senior Female Athlete of the Year
- 2011 Baylor Swimming swimmer of the year
- 12 time state champion (individual events and relays)
- 2009 Eastern Scholastic Champion
- 2008 USA Jr National Champion
- Multi time Southeastern Swimming champion both Short Course and Long Course
- 7 time school Record holder
- 5 time State Record holder for relays
- 6 time National record holder for relays
- 3 time Individual National record holder for short course meters
- 15-16 girls Southeastern Record holder in 200 backstroke
