Baylor School Claims 2025 TISCA State Championship Titles

February 8, 2025 — From Feb. 7-8, Baylor School went on to compete at the 2025 TISCA State Championships in Knoxville, TN. By the end of the meet, Baylor School claimed titles on the women’s team (by 18 points) and as a combined team for its 20th consecutive year (by 240.5 points). The men’s team, in a hard fought battle, finished as runner-up by less than 20 points.

While the Baylor School had many amazing swims to constitute for its team finishes, one notable swim goes to the men’s 400 Freestyle Relay with Ethan Gover (JR), Jon Smith (SR), Luke Waldrep (SR), and Hayden Vicknair (SO) as they secured a win while also breaking both the school and state record with a time of 2:59.41. This time also qualifies these swimmers for the 2025 summer Junior Nationals! The previous record was held by Baylor School’s decorated swimmers Trey Freeman, Piotr Kurleto, Zach Althoff, and Jack Kirby from 2018 with a time of 2:59.52.
