Netanya, Israel – On September 4-September 9, Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School athlete Drew Hitchcock will race at the The World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships 2023 representing TEAM USA. The competition will be held at the Wingate Institute Pool. This meet will feature “over 600 promising young swimmers from more than 100 National Federations are expected to compete.” Drew will compete in both the 400 IM and 200 Butterfly – the 400 IM is scheduled to compete on September 8th and the 200 Butterfly on the 9th. The Baylor Swim Club has a long history of sending athletes to the World Junior Championships. Members who have had the opportunity to represent TEAM USA, specifically, include well known veterans such as Trey Freeman ’18 and Kristen Vredeveld ’13. Josean Massucco ’23 was our most recent Baylor Swim Club member that competed at this event, which took place last year in Lima, Peru, where he represented Puerto Rico.
