Once again, the Baylor Swim Club and the Baylor School will be hosting the 2018 Joe Gawrys Southeastern Middle School Swimming & Diving Championship. Any swimmer that is in middle school has the opportunity and is encouraged to attend this swim meet. If your child attends a school other than the Baylor School your child will need to be entered by that school. There are several schools that attend the championship made up of Baylor Swim Club, GPS / McCallie Aquatics, and Chattanooga Swimming athletes. If there are other swimmers at your child’s school a parent coordinator needs to be appointed. This person is responsible for getting the school waiver signed, collect entry fees, and submit the entry list to the club coach for which they swim.
For example if the parent coordinator is a member of Baylor Swim Club then he or she will collect the fees, get a list of entries for each child from that school and submit to either Brian or Laura. Brian or Laura will take care of completing the Team Manger file. If the parent coordinator is from McCallie / GPS Aquatics then all information will be submitted to Roger Dahlke. If you are entering kids from another USA club team make sure you include their entry times. McCallie / GPS Aquatics will not know what times our kids have and we will not know what times they should be entered with.
Swimmers that are participating must have the waiver form signed and returned to Laura Pitman by the entry deadline. The entry deadline for this meet is Tuesday, January 9, 2018. All those that do not attend the Baylor School and go to a different middle school must have all the paperwork filled out completely in order to enter the meet. The waiver form can be found within the meet information.
