Assistant Coach / Swimming Lessons Instructor
Sarah Winters is a graduate from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga with a bachelors’ of science degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She was born and raised in Sevierville, TN where she became a swimmer at a young age. Winters swam competitively for Sevier Aquatic Club Stingrays (SAC) year round since the age of six throughout her years in high school. As of age fifteen she took on the responsibility as a pre-team coach for a USA and summer swim leagues. She also became a lifeguard for Sevierville City Park Pool. She has a love for the water that brings her a sense of freedom and expression for her talents.
Although UTC did not have a swim team when she arrived in 2010, she still pursued her passion as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Sarah was a lifeguard/head guard for the Aquatic Recreation Center at UTC for three years and was a Water Safety Instructor for one year. During her time there, she was a swim instructor for all ages and swimming technique levels. With the freedom to design her own swim lesson plans, she was able to work with all types of swimmers in and outside of this facility. Sarah Winters love for swimming and working with children is a passion that she has had for some time now.
When she is not playing in the water she is out and about exploring this great Scenic City, we call Chattanooga. She also enjoys live music and art, enjoys hiking in the woods with her dog Oliver, creek hopping, climbing, biking, and painting. Sarah is looking forward to meeting and working with all the swimmers that choose Baylor to develop their swim techniques.
