The Year-Round Program

The Baylor Swim Club offers the finest year-round USA Swimming age group and senior swimming programs in the Greater Chattanooga area. We have created a program that caters to swimmers of all ages and abilities. In addition to ensuring proper technique and conditioning, our program’s emphasis on the development of self-esteem, sportsmanship, and teamwork prepares the swimmer for success in both sport and life.

Year-round swimmers at Baylor Swim Club are encouraged to participate in swim meets, which are held about once a month. Most competitions for young swimmers are held locally. There are no benchwarmers! Baylor coaches believe that every swimmer should get a chance to compete and strive for excellence.

And it’s fun! Lifelong friendships are developed through Baylor Swim Club practice groups, swim meets, and team building activities. Baylor’s flexible practice schedule allows swimmers to enjoy and participate in other sports, school and family activities.

Don’t wait: online registration opens August 6th (August 22nd for new swimmers). Read through the registration information in the right sidebar, then click on the link below to start your registration, so you can be sure your swimmer has this incredible opportunity!

Baylor Named a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club of Excellence for 2020

What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction of being a nationally ranked Silver Medal swim club in the USA Swimming Club of Excellence program for the 2020 swimming season!

What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance. To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.

New Swimmer Evaluations

Baylor Swim Club is open to all residents of the Greater Chattanooga area and can join at any time during the year.  All new swimmers will be required to attend the evaluation placement either Tuesday or Wednesday (August 20 or 21) from 5:00-6:00 PM at the Baylor School Natatorium to determine proper practice group placement. Swimmers will be evaluated based on skill level, stroke development, and age. Anyone not attending the evaluations will be placed in the lowest group until coaches have had enough practices to evaluate which group they are best suited for.

All new swimmers joining the club after August 29th who have no previous competitive swimming experience with our club may be evaluated on the following dates: October 21, December 16, and February 18. All evaluations will be held at the Baylor School Natatorium at 5:30 PM. Please email if you plan on attending a session. If you have any further questions please email Laura Pitman or call the Baylor Swimming office at 423-267-8506 x267.
