Hamilton, Bermuda — On March 15th, Brandon Adkins (Class of ’25) broke the 200 Free SCM Bermudian national record with a time of 1:50.30 at the Bermuda Short Course Championships. This meet took place at the National Sports Center and currently ranks Adkins 2nd in the CARIFTA region. Adkins also broke the 17-18 national age group record in the 100 Free with a time of 50.95.
Nassau, Bahamas — On the week of March 30th-April 2nd, Baylor Swim Club had swimmers go and represent the Bermuda team at CARIFTA. This championship meet hosts the best swimmers representing their countries within the Caribbean. Swimmers at this meet from Baylor Swim Club included Brandon Adkins ’25 and Connor Hupman ’27.
Hupman had himself a standout meet, dominating in the 13-14 age group and winning the 50 back (28.33) and 200 IM (2:18.25), while placing top 2 in the 200 Free (2:00.96), 100 back (1:02.92), 100 free (54.83), and 400 free. Hupman also won the 13-14 age group highpoint award.
