NASHVILLE, TN – On the weekend of Dec 1-3, Baylor Swimming traveled to compete at the Speedo Music City Invite in Nashville, TN. The meet was ran by Nashville Aquatic Club and hosted at the Tracy Caulkins Competition Pool at Centennial Sportsplex. The Baylor Swim Club had many breakout performances, including Brandon Adkins, Keilah Holliman, Noah Holliman, Connor Hupman, Cooper Lehman, Anara Summers, Hayden Vicknair, and Lily Vicknair.
Anara Summers broke the 13-14 Baylor Club Record in the 200 Butterfly, previously owned by Addison Smith from 2016 with a time of 2:08.83 – Summers went 2:07.62. This time currently ranks her 29th nationally for 14 year old’s. Another breakout performance by Summers includes the 200 Freestyle, going 1:54.55.
Lily Vicknair, 11 years old, achieved the 13-14 Southeastern’s cut in the 100 Breaststroke – going 1:14.27. Vicknair also went a 32.78 in the 50 Breaststroke – currently ranking her 9th nationally for 11 year old’s. Her time in the 100 breast currently ranks her top 50 nationally.
Hayden Vicknair, 15 years old, achieved the Future’s cut in the 100 Butterfly (going a 49.81) and 200 Butterfly (going a 1:51.38). These times, respectively, currently rank him 19th and 17th nationally for 15 year old’s. Vicknair also secured the only Baylor win of the meet in the 100 Butterfly!
Connor Hupman achieved multiple Southern Premier cuts for the first time and achieved multiple top 3 finishes! Cooper Lehman broke 1 minute in the 100 Breaststroke – going 59.58! Brandon Adkins broke 1:40 in the 200 Freestyle for the first time – going 1:39.75 – and achieved multiple top 3 and top 8 finishes! Keilah Holliman achieved multiple top 8 finishes and Southern Premier cuts! And Noah Holliman achieved multiple Southeastern cuts, dropping more than 8 seconds in his 200 Butterfly and more than 6 seconds in his 200 Backstroke!
