Baylor Awarded USA Swimming Silver Medal Club of Excellence Status for 2023

What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction of being a nationally ranked Silver Medal swim club in the USA Swimming Club of Excellence program for the 2023 swimming season!

What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance. To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.

New Swimmer Practice Group Placements

Baylor Swim Club is open to all residents of the Greater Chattanooga area.  All new swimmers planning on joining the Baylor Swim Club for the 2023-2024 season must attend the New Swimmer Practice Group Placements on either Tuesday or Wednesday, August 15th or 16th at 5:00 PM at the Baylor School Natatorium to determine proper practice group placement.

Swimmers will be evaluated based on skill level, stroke development, and age.  Please fill out the form below to secure your space in the new swimmer practice group placements being held on Aug. 15th or 16th.

Please note- The minimum requirement to enter the developmental program, a swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with rhythmic breathing and 25 yards of backstroke.  If you feel like your child cannot perform the skills please information about our Swimming Lessons Program.

  • Baylor Swim Club ranks as a Silver Medal or Bronze Medal team in the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program for the last 18 years
  • Baylor Swim Club Produced Five USA National Junior Team Members
  • Baylor Swim Club had 5 swimmers compete at the FINA World Junior Championships in 2011, 2 compete in the World University Games in 2013, 1 compete in the FINA World Championships in 2013, 3 compete at the FINA World Championships in 2015, 3 compete at the 2017 World Junior Swimming Championships, and 1 will compete at the 2019 World Championships
  • Baylor Swim Club had 3 members qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials and 1 former member qualified
  • Baylor School wins combined state title for the 18th year in a row
  • Baylor Swim Club 7th at NCSA  Junior Nationals – 9th national top 15 finish in the last 12 years – had 18 senior group athletes qualified for 2019
  • Baylor Swim Club had six athletes qualify for the 2012 US Olympic Team Trials, and had five alums and current members compete at the 2016 Olympic Trials
  • Baylor Swim Club has had 55 USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans, 37 different members over the last ten years
  • 6 National Age Group Relay Records, 2 Individual National Age Group Records
  • 6 athletes were Junior National Champions covering 12 different events
  • 64 Southeastern Swimming Records in the last 16 years
