CHATTANOOGA, TN– With her finish of the 20 Bridges Swim in Manhattan, NY, Baylor Tri-Masters Coach Jenny Smith has now officially completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. Membership of the Triple Crown requires the authenticated completion of three famous marathon swims: 21 miles(33.7 km) across the English Channel between England and France, 20.2 miles (33 km) across the Catalina Channel in Southern California, USA, and 28.5 miles (45.8 km) around Manhattan Island in New York, USA. She completed these three swims in less than one year, and is now recognized by the World Open Water Swimming Association as the 174th athlete to complete the Triple Crown ultra-distance races.

AUBURN, AL– This past weekend, June 22-24, 2018 the Baylor Swim Club competed in the 2018 Richard Quick Invitational in Auburn, AL. Over 800 swimmers from the states of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida competed in the swim meet held at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center on the campus of Auburn University.

LOUISVILLE, KY- Baylor Swim Club Age Group Coach Jessica Klotz has been named as an assistant coach at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Select Camp to be held May 24-27, 2018 at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. Coach Klotz was selected with four other coaches to help run the elite swim camp.
USA Swimming selects 28 male and 28 female athletes from each of the four Zones. The girls must be age 12-13 at the time of performance while the boys must be age 13-14 at the time of performance. In the past the Baylor Swim Club has placed several athletes in the Southern Zone Select Camp, and the Baylor School hosted the camp back in 2006 and 2007.

CHATTANOOGA, TN- On Wednesday, May 16th, Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club seniors Piotr Kurleto and Luis Sebastian Weekes celebrated their commitment to swim at colleges in the fall. Piotr Kurleto will swim and attend Denison University, while Luis Sebastian Weekes will attend and swim at Kenyon College.

It is once again time for another great season of CASL summer league swimming, and Nights at the Races. Below is just some information the Baylor Swimming Staff would like to pass on to you.
Every Baylor Swim Club member who participates, officiates, coaches or attends a Monday or Thursday night meet has a great opportunity to spread the word about the benefits of Baylor Swim Club and year round swimming. Our coaches will make the rounds at many meets, but we can’t be everywhere. These Monday and Thursday night meets are a great way for all members get involved in building our program.

CHATTANOOGA, TN– On May 4-6, 2018 the Baylor Swim Club hosted and competed in the 2018 Arena Long Course Invitational held at the Baylor School Natatorium. One hundred Baylor Swim Club athletes participated in the two and a half day meet. Over 400 swimmers from the states of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama competed in the swim meet. Special congratulations to all the Baylor Swim Club athletes that participated in meet, and thank you to all the parents that volunteered their time this past weekend!
One of the highlights from the meet came from sixteen year old Addison Smith. In the first meet of Long Course season she broke two Baylor Swim Club team records. She broke her own record in the Senior 400 free by three seconds, and Caitlin Muldoon’s 1500 free record set in 2000 by 15 seconds.
