CHATTANOOGA, TN– The swimming/aquatics media outlet SwimSwam.com has named the 2019 Baylor School Girls team with a SWAMMY AWARD for the High School team of the year. SwimSwam.com has many categories for SWAMMY Awards and they are given to recap the best of the year in swimming.

The Baylor School girls team was named the high school team of the year due to their winning performance in the 2019 TISCA State Swimming & Diving Championship last February. The Baylor School won a thrilling championship by six points over a really good Harpeth Hall. Propelling the Baylor School to a title was the 1st place finish of the 200 Medley Relay team of Ellie Waldrep, Jewel Gordon, Addison Smith, and Callie West. The quartet swam a time of 1:39.91, which was a new Baylor School team record, NISCA Automatic All-American time, and finished with the fastest time in the nation in the event.
