CHATTANOOGA, TN– On Monday, March 7, 2022, Baylor School / Baylor Swimming alumni Will Hunt (Baylor School class of 1989) was inducted into the Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame. Hunt was a two-time NISCA High School All-American at the Baylor School and Tennessee State Champion in the 50-yard freestyle in both 1988 and 1989. He helped lead the Baylor School to Tennessee State titles from 1986-to 1989.
Will Hunt swam collegiately at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He was the ULM Warhawks team captain and school record holder in the 50-yard freestyle. He was also the National Independent Conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle in 1993 and 1994.
Over the years Hunt has continued to give back to the Chattanooga swimming community. He coached at the Baylor School from 1997-1999, along with a stint as the Head Age Group Coach of the Greater Chattanooga Aquatic Club (now known as the Baylor Swim Club). He has also been a coach for the Signal Mountain Green Giants in the Chattanooga Area Swim League (CASL) since 2005.
