HUNTSVILLE, AL- On the weekend of February 23-25, 2018, over forty Baylor Swim Club athletes competed in the Southeastern Swimming Short Course Championships Championships held at the brand new Huntsville Aquatic Center. Over 900 swimmers from the Southeastern Swimming LSC swam in the three day competition. The Baylor Swim Club finished 11th overall out of 44 teams scoring.
Jack Kirby was the high points scorer for baylor, and finished third in the overall high point scores for the senior division. He placed first in the 50 back,
2nd in the 100 backstroke, and finished third in both the 50 free and 200 back. On the girls side, Ellie Waldrep took the Southeastern Championship in the senior 50 yard backstroke, while Addison Smith placed third overall in the 100 fly event. In the 10 & Under age group Ava McCoy had
an outstanding meet. She took third in the 50 breast, and fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke events.
