COLUMBUS, OH – Baylor Swim Club had 3 swimmers qualify and travel to the 2023 Winter Junior National Championships (East) held at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at The Ohio State University. Our 3 swimmers were Drew Hitchcock, Felix Vicknair, and Luke Waldrep.
Drew Hitchcock finished the meet with three TOP 3 performances – one of which he finished out on top. He finished 2nd in the 200 IM and the 200 Butterfly – and finished 1st in the 400 IM. Hitchcock went a best time and broke the Baylor Swim Club record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:43.48. He also finished with the overall best time between the East and West locations in the 400 IM. Hitchcock’s times from Winter Jr. Nationals currently rank him 1st, 2nd, and 4th nationally in the 400 IM, 200 Butterfly, and 200 IM respectively.
Felix Vicknair went a best time in 100 Butterfly and Luke Waldrep finished top 16 and top 20 in the 500 Freestyle and 1650 Freestyle respectively.
