BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA- Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School athlete Jack Kirby and Baylor alumni Luis Sebastian-Weekes will be racing in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina to be held October 7-12. The Youth Olympic Games will feature some of the most talented 15-18 year old athletes from over 200 countries. Kirby and Weekes will be representing their home country of Barbados.
Jack Kirby will swim 50 backstroke (Oct. 9), 100 backstroke (Oct. 7), 50 (Oct. 9) and 100 freestyle (Oct. 11) events. Luis Sebastian-Weekes is currently a freshman attending Kenyon College in Ohio. He will compete in the 100 breaststroke (Oct. 7), 200 breaststroke (Oct. 10), and 200 IM (Oct. 8). The competition will be held in a prelims, semi-finals, and finals format.
