KNOXVILLE, TN- This past week (January 11-14) Baylor Swim Club athletes Sam Flack, Josean Massucco, and Drew Hitchcock competed in the 2023 TYR Pro Swim Series Knoxville. This meet featured some of the top swimmers from all across the United States and was swum at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatics Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee. All three of the Baylor Swim Club athletes that competed generated some finals swims at the high level long course competition.
Baylor had all three athletes make it into finals in the 200-meter butterfly. Drew Hitchcock competed in the B-Final to finish 15th (2:02.91), Josean Massucco took 16th (2:05.67), and Sam Flack competing in the C-Final placed 20th (2:06.01) in the 200 butterfly. Hitchcock also claimed 11th overall in the 200-meter IM swimming a time of 2:05.86. Massucco also had some solid swims in the 400 IM (4:441.51) to finish 21st and the take 17th in the 1500-meter freestyle. Senior, Sam Flack finished the meet off with a 16th place finish in the 1500-meter freestyle.
