LIFEGUARDS NEEDED

The Baylor School is now hiring lifeguards for the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Applicants must have a current lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross, YMCA or Ellis. We have several different shifts available including mornings, mid-day and evenings. Morning and Evening shifts are during coached practices, midday is lap swim. All shifts are at the Baylor School (171 Baylor School Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405).  Compensation ranges from $8.50 – $12 per hour depending on experience. Baylor School Girls Named NISCA National Independent School Dual Meet Champions, Boys Finish 3rd

CHATTANOOGA, TN- The Baylor School Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving team was named by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) as 2018-2019 National Independent School Dual Meet Champions.  The NISCA awards program is based on submitted team results of high school athletes (grades 9-12) that are translated into power points.  A total of 358 high school teams from across the nation participated in the national dual meet ranking system this year.  The Baylor School also claimed the combined (boys & girls) Independent school title racking up a total of 11,501 points.

Addison Smith Qualifies for Olympic Trials in the 200 Freestyle & 200 IM

AUBURN, AL-  On Day 1 of the Richard Quick Invitational, Baylor Swim Club athlete Addison Smith has qualified for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials in the 200-meter freestyle.  She finished 1st overall in the event with a time of 2:00.86.  Smith also broke the team record in the event, which was set in 2011 by Baylor School and University of California standout Kristen Vredeveld.  On the final day of the meet Smith also made the Olympic Trials qualifying time in the 200 IM.  Her time of 2:17.12 also claimed the top spot in the event.  The Richard Quick Invitational (June 21-23) features over 500 athletes from all over Southeast, and is being held at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center on the campus of Auburn University.
