CHATTANOOGA, TN- On the weekend of February 25-27, 2022, over one hundred and thirty Baylor Swim Club athletes competed in the Southeastern Swimming Region 2 Championships held at the Baylor School Natatorium. Over 500 athletes from the Southeastern Swimming LSC East Region swam in the two-and-a-half-day competition. The Baylor Swim Club took the overall team title, scoring 1,731 points. Tenessee Aquatics finished second with 934.50 points, while McCallie/ GPS Aquatics claimed third with 613.50 points. One of the highlights of the meet came from the Baylor Swim Club 8 & Under boys. They claimed the 8 & Under boys SES Region 2 age group team title. Leading the way for the 8 & Under boys was Max Shaw. He finished as the SES Region 2 8 & Under boys high point runner-up award winner.

Baylor Off to FAST Start After Day 1 of the 2022 TISCA Swimming & Diving Championships
NASHVILLE, TN- The Baylor School got off to a fast start on day one of the 2022 TISCA State Swimming & Diving Championships. After Friday evening finals, the Baylor School leads in the combined, girls, and boys team scores. The highlight of the meet thus far came from the Girls 200-yard Medley Relay of Genevieve O’Neil, Lillie Boggs, Madelyn Yates, and Caroline Schenck swimming a time of 1:43.07. They finished with a state title and a NISCA Automatic All-American time. The Baylor School boys 200-yard Medley Relay of Caden Fritz, Charlie Han, Josean Massucco, and Owen Seymour claimed second in a NISCA Automatic All-American time of 1:31.11.
Winter Weather Does Not Slow Down Baylor at TYR Invitational in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE, AL- On January 14-16, over thirty Baylor Swim Club athletes traveled to Huntsville, AL to race in the 2022 HSA TYR Invitational held at the Hunstville Aquatic Center. Over 700 swimmers from the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama competed in the swim meet.

Hitchcock Leads Baylor at 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships in Greensboro
Greensboro, NC- This past week (Dec. 8-11) seven Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club athletes competed in the 2021 USA Swimming Speedo Winter Junior Championships- EAST held at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, NC. This is one of the top swimming competitions in the country on an annual basis for swimmers eighteen-years-old and under. Baylor Swim Club athletes competing in the junior national meet were Lille Boggs, Sam Flack, Caden Fritz, Charlie Han, Drew Hitchcock, Josean Massucco, and Matthew Potter. Leading the way for Baylor were some outstanding swims from Drew Hitchcock.

Baylor Feeling Very Merry After 2021 Jingle Bell Classic Meet
DALTON, GA– On Sunday, December 12th, over thirty Baylor Swim Club athletes traveled to Dalton, GA to race in the 221 Jingle Bell Classic Meet. Over 200 swimmers from the states of Tennessee and Georgia competed in the swim meet held at Dalton High School Pool. Congratulations to all Baylor swimmers for an outstanding meet on Saturday.

Distance Races Highlight Baylor Swim Club at Ensworth Holiday Classic
NASHVILLE, TN- On December 3-5, over fifty Baylor Swim Club athletes traveled to Nashville, TN to race in the 2021 Ensworth Holiday Classic held at the Ensworth School Natatorium. Over 400 swimmers from the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama competed in the swim meet. Leading the way for Baylor was an outstanding performance from Luke Waldrep in the 1650-yard freestyle. His time of 16:11.92 qualified him for NCSA Junior Nationals in Orlando, FL in March of 2022.

Baylor Recognized as USA Swimming Silver Medal Club of Excellence for 2022
What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction of being a nationally ranked Silver Medal swim club in the USA Swimming Club of Excellence program for the 2022 swimming season!
What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance. To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.

Baylor Makes a Splash at 2021 Martha Bass Invitational
CHATTANOOGA, TN- On November 13-14, the Baylor Swim Club hosted and competed in the Martha Bass Invitational held at the Baylor School Natatorium. One Hundred and fifty-two Baylor Swim Club athletes participated in the two-day meet. Over 400 swimmers from the states of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama competed in the swim meet. Special congratulations to all the Baylor Swim Club athletes that participated in the meet, and thank you to all the parents that volunteered their time this past weekend!

Baylor Opens 2021-2022 Season with a BANG at Fall Kick-Off Classic
CHATTANOOGA, TN– This past weekend, October 23-24, 2021, the Baylor Swim Club hosted and competed in the 2021 Fall Kick-Off Classic held at the Baylor School Natatorium. One Hundred and forty-eight Baylor Swim Club athletes participated in the two-day meet. Over 400 swimmers from the states of Tennessee and Georgia competed in the swim meet. Special congratulations to all the new Baylor Swim Club athletes that participated in their first-ever year-round swim meet, and to all the parents that volunteered their time this past weekend!
Several new team records were broken by twelve-year-old Hayden Vicknair. Vicknair smashed team records in the 50 (24.92), 100 (54.53), and the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.97). The previous record in the 50-yard free (25.05) was set back in 2001 by Brad Hanon, while Vicknair took down Josh Sosna‘s 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle records that were set back in 2003. Hayden also broke the 50-back, 50, and 100-yard butterfly team records which were held by Nick Huffstutter and set back in 1992.
