Addison Smith Qualifies for Olympic Trials in the 200 Freestyle & 200 IM

AUBURN, AL-  On Day 1 of the Richard Quick Invitational, Baylor Swim Club athlete Addison Smith has qualified for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials in the 200-meter freestyle.  She finished 1st overall in the event with a time of 2:00.86.  Smith also broke the team record in the event, which was set in 2011 by Baylor School and University of California standout Kristen Vredeveld.  On the final day of the meet Smith also made the Olympic Trials qualifying time in the 200 IM.  Her time of 2:17.12 also claimed the top spot in the event.  The Richard Quick Invitational (June 21-23) features over 500 athletes from all over Southeast, and is being held at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center on the campus of Auburn University.
