This swim meet is open to all Developmental (Red, White, & Grey), AG, Junior, Senior 2, and Senior/Varsity practice groups.

HUNTSVILLE, AL- This past weekend (February 19-21, 2021) the Baylor Swim Club sent twenty-two athletes to compete in the 2021 Southeastern Swimming Short Course Championships at the Huntsville Aquatic Center in Huntsville, AL. With a total team effort, the Baylor Swim Club came away with the women’s team title and finished second overall in the combined team scores. The Baylor men placed 3rd in the overall team scores. The meet featured over 300 athletes from the Southeastern Swimming LSC (Tennessee, Alabama, & the panhandle of Florida).

NASHVILLE, TN- This past weekend (March 5-7, 2021) the Baylor Swim Club sent eleven athletes to compete in the 2021 Southeastern Swimming Short Course Age Group Championships at Ensworth School in Nashville, TN. The meet featured many of the top 14 & Under swimmers from the state of Tennessee.
Leading the way for the Baylor Swim Club were some big-time performances from four-teen-year-old Luke Waldrep. He took the Southeastern Swimming Age Group Championship posting a time of 49.24 in the 13-14 boys 100-yard-freestyle. Waldrep also claimed 2nd in the 200-yard freestyle, 3rd in the 500-yard freestyle, and 3rd in the 200-yard IM. With a total of 96.5 points, he was named the individual high point runner-up for the 13-14 boys age group. In the process, Waldrep also broke Baylor Middle School records in the 100, 200, and 500-yard freestyle events.

CHATTANOOGA, TN– On Tuesday, February 24th Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club athlete Lydia Bohannon celebrated her commitment to attend and swim at Rollins College located in Winter Park, FL in the fall of 2021. Bohannon is a seven-year day student from Chattanooga, TN.
She is a multiple TISCA State finalist in both the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke events. Bohannon was a member of Baylor School’s NISCA All-American 200-yard freestyle relay in 2020, which helped capture TISCA State titles in 2019 and 2020. She is also an NCSA Junior National qualifier.
Congratulations to Lydia on this great accomplishment. The Baylor Swimming family is so proud of you.
What exciting news! The Baylor Swim Club has been awarded by United States Swimming the distinction of being a nationally ranked Silver Medal swim club in the USA Swimming Club of Excellence program for the 2021 swimming season!
What exactly does this mean? This means that Baylor Swim Club is recognized as one of the top clubs in the country based on organizational professionalism and athletic performance. To qualify for this award, Baylor had to submit an extensive report to United States Swimming, documenting club professionalism as well as both national and world-class performance.

CHATTANOOGA, TN– On Wednesday, November 11th Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club athlete Ellie Waldrep signed a college national letter of intent to attend and swim at Auburn University. Waldrep is a seven-year day student from Chattanooga, TN. She is the school record holder in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 200 IM events. In 2019, she set two NISCA short course meters national records in both the 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter IM. Waldrep is also a 9-time NISCA High School All-American, and she will compete in the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke events this upcoming summer. CHATTANOOGA, TN– In the September 2020 issue of Swimming World Magazine the Baylor School Boys ranked 2nd, the girls finished 4th, and took 1st in the combined Mythical National High School Championships: Best of the Decade (2010-2019). Swimming World compiled the top high school times over the last decade (2010-2019) to create a time based national championship heat sheet. They have broken down team scores into both public and independent school divisions.
Many of the Baylor School’s top swimmers appear on the heat sheet including Trey Freeman (’18) and Kristen Vredeveld (’13). It also features two National Independent School record-setting relay teams.

CHATTANOOGA, TN- USA Swimming released the roster for its 2019-2020 Scholastic All-America Team, and three Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School student-athletes were selected for this honor.
Making the Scholastic All–America team from Baylor is current sophomore Lillie Boggs, Baylor alumni Alex Borisov, and Daniel Unhuryan. Borisov is currently a freshman swimming at Northwestern University in Illinois, while Unhuryan is swimming at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

CHATTANOOGA, TN– The Baylor Swim Club placed six athletes on the 2019-2020 Southeastern Swimming Age Group All-Star Team. The team was selected during the time period of September 1, 2019-August 31, 2020 from Short Course yards results.
The athletes that were selected to the 2019-2020 Southeastern Swimming All-Star Team are Lillie Boggs, Ellie Lydon, Avery May, Maddox May, Hunter Shaw, and Anara Summers.

CHATTANOOGA, TN- Head Coach / Director of Competitive Swimming Dan Flack is thrilled to announce three new additions to the coaching staff for the 2020-2021 season. Coach Kelly McClanahan will be assuming the responsibilities of the Junior group coach which is the highest level of age-group swimming in the Baylor Program. Coach Francine Chittum who spent some time coaching our Developmental groups last season will be taking over as our Age Group (AG) Coach, and long time swimming lessons instructor Sarah Winters will be leading our Developmental- Red & White, practice groups.
